    Hi housebiopsy,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, our Portuguese Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users at the moment. I'll try to assist you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd prefer to receive support in Portuguese, let us know and we can have them do that. But, keep in mind that you'd have to wait until they're available again.

Now, let me help you with your question. I am sorry that you're receiving double submissions when your users submit your form. Can you confirm us if this is the form that is causing the issue? If not, could you please share with us the URL of the form in question?

I cloned your last form and tested it to see if I could replicate the issue, but everything was working properly. Check out the screencast below to see my results:

Can you provide the submission IDs of the submissions that were duplicated when testing the form? Please see this guide on locating your submission IDs. Also, could you let us know if your form is embedded on a webpage?

I cleared the form cache to refresh the data. You can check this guide on How to Clear Your Form Cache. Can you try it again and see how it goes? If you run into the same problem again, can you please authorize us to test-submit your form so we can further investigate?

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to move forward with a solution.

    Hi housebiopsy,

Thanks for getting back to us. It seems that your form is being resubmitted. Duplicate submissions may occur when the Thank-you page is not closed after the form is submitted. So, if the user opens their browser again with the submit page link still there, it can be reloaded triggering a new submission causing a duplicate entry.

To prevent this behavior, add a Captcha to the form. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, click + Add Form Element in the top left corner.
    2. Under Basic Elements, Find the CAPTCHA element and add it to your form.

Also, you can enable the unique submission and unique question feature to set a limit on the form access, where a warning message will appear if a user sends a detail that already exists in your submissions. Let me walk through it:

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
    2. Under Form Setting, click the Show More Options button.
    3. Scroll down and find the Unique Submission & Unique Field options.
    4. Finally, select your preferred option from the dropdown, and that’s it!

Lastly, I suggest you change the Allow Browser AutoComplete to No so that it won't automatically fill the fields when the page is refreshed on the Thank-you page. Here’s how to do it:

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
    2. Under Form Setting, click the Show More Options button.
    3. Next, scroll down to the bottom to reach the Allow Browser AutoComplete option.
    4. Change the dropdown from Yes or No.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
