Bom dia, Tudo bem ??

Hi Hubic,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Our Portuguese Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users right now, so I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in Portuguese, let us know and we can have them do that. But, it might take a while until they're available again.
Now, coming back to your question, to limit the number of characters in a Phone field, you can enable the Input Mask. This will allow you to specify the exact format, including how many numbers can be entered. Let me show you how:
- In Form Builder, select the Phone field and click the Gear icon beside it.
- Under the Options tab, enable the Input Mask option by toggling it On.
- You can enter the specific format. For example, you can use (###) #####-#### to limit the input to a 12-digit phone number, including the area code.
We also have a guide about Getting Started With the Basics of Input Masking that you can check out.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
