The Doctrinal Statement for the Caribbean College of the Bible International has been prepared for the protection of our organization against heresy and spiritual weakening, and is considered to be the minimum doctrinal requirement for our interdenominational ministries
Caribbean College of the Bible International
The Code of Ethics (07/19)
Section 5 .10 (Human Resource Policy and Procedures)
Generally, a code of conduct for a College is a list of rules with consequences. We at Caribbean College of the Bible International, do not ascribe to the fact that one should necessarily spell out rules and regulations for the Christian but allow every person, from staff to students to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the grace of God. The Holy Spirit teaches us our code of conduct. Trustees, administrators, faculty, staff, and students must all agree to abide by that code and so state in writing. A few guidelines though, listed below are some perimeters that CCBI affirms:
1. Each Christian is to be Christ-like in attitude and action. This is neither automatic nor instantaneous, but a growth process. This Christ-likeness does not come by observing certain outward expectations, but comes from within as the indwelling Spirit of God energizes the believer submitted to God (Romans 12:12; Philippians 2:1213). As believers walk in fellowship with the Lord, being controlled and enabled by the Holy Spirit, they are changed to be more and more like Him (2 Corinthians 3:18; Philippians 2: 1213, 1 John 1:47). Unethical conduct (dishonesty, slander, theft, fraud, falsifying college records, falsifying CV records, disobedience, misconduct, etc.), must not be named among them.
2. Christians are to glorify God in their bodies and are to live holy lives (1 Corinthians 6:19,20; 1 Peter 1:13 16). Love toward God is evidenced by a love for those without Christ (note Paul’s example in 2 Corinthians 5:14 and Acts 18:5) and by love for fellow believers (1 John 3:16; 4:78). Drug/ Alcohol possession, using College property for personal business, etc., must not be named among them.
3. Living by God’s grace, believers are to avoid even the appearance (every form) of wrongdoing (1 Thessalonians 5:22). Believers are called to freedom, but this is not to be an opportunity for the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:13). Damaging / violating College property, poor performance, failure to commit to deadlines, too many absences, bad culture fit, etc. must not be named among them.
4. Individuals who, after spiritual instruction (Galatians 6:1), continue to dishonor the Lord, and by extension the College, by persisting in un-Christlike behavior or unruly conduct may, after due process, shall be dismissed from CCBI (1 Thessalonians 5:14).
