The Fosterer agrees and undertakes to:

• Provide strict attention to feeding, grooming, general care of all animals and to treat animals as a household pet and member of the family.

• Notify P4P of the need for routine or emergency veterinary attention and gain consent to such treatment BEFORE it commences, unless Fosterer wishes to pay for the vet appointments. Vet appointments must be approved PRIOR, in order to be reimbursed or covered. For all such appointments, we use one of our approved facilities that work with our rescue:

3. Animal Clinic of Farmers Branch
4. Summerfields Animal Hospital - Fort Worth

5. 121 Animal Hospital - Frisco

• Permit P4P to do home visits at mutually convenient times.

• Permit prospective owners to visit the animal at Fosterer's home when applicable.

• Release any foster animal to P4P or one of their representatives or to a new owner upon request.

• Report to P4P without delay of any accident or illness of a fostered animal. (i.e. any sores, coughing, sneezing, vomitting, etc.)

• Report to P4P if a fostered animal goes missing for any reason immediatly.

• Promptly process any paperwork necessary for release or adoption of a fostered animal, such as bio’s. In order to help with transition of foster pet to rescue partner P4P provides bio's. Pet bio must be returned 72 hours before transport date.

• I accept full responsibility for expenses incurred by myself as a volunteer for P4P. Although I may be reimbursed by P4P, I must have prior approval from an officer of the Board of Directors, as well as the necessary documentation and receipts.

• I will remember that in all my dealings with the public as a volunteer, I am representing P4P, and that the public will consider my words and actions regarding rescue activities representative of the attitude and position of P4P as an organization. If I enter into activities of a political or controversial nature, I am doing so as an individual, separate from P4P.

• I understand that as an individual, I cannot enter into agreements for the organization; any such activity will be forwarded to the P4P Board of Directors.

P4P agrees to:

Provide necessary veterinary care for fostered animal.

Either party may terminate this agreement with notice. P4P is an all-foster based rescue organization, we will be responsible for placing, within 7 days, any fosters you deem you can no longer keep. A foster is defined as any animal that P4P has placed with you. Any animals that you bring into the program (strays you find, shelter pulls you opt to do, etc.) will become your own responsibility if you default as a foster. P4P agrees to list the animals, provide adoption venues (when applicable), and pay vet bills (as long as by an approved vet for expenses approved by P4P).

Q&A

Q: if I pay for medical items how do I get reimbursed?

A: You must provide a copy of itemized receipt to your foster's Intake Coordinator and we will reimburse you for the cost of APPROVED medical cost within one day.

Q: Why do all these peta go north?

A: Briana lived in Minnesota until she was 26, and was involved with multiple non-profit animal organizations while living there. Because of that connection and the overpopulation of animals and euthanasia rates of adoptable pets in Texas, we formulated a plan to help streamline animals to the north for adoption.

Q: What should I expect on the day I say goodbye to my foster pet?

A: Typically, 2-3 days prior to transport departure, Briana will send a reminder to all Fosterer’s to update the departure information. Here is the typical time and meeting place for all departures. Around noon in Keller, Texas. The exact time is always updated 2-3 days prior to departure. Fosterers who cannot meet transport due to work, will notify P4P so we can arrange a volunteer to step up for this. Every dog needs to have paperwork with a current Rabies vaccine (if old enough) and Distemper/Parvo vaccine.

Q: What happens if my foster pet gets to Minnesota and doesn’t get adopted?

A: All pets will be fostered in Minnesota/Wisconsin through their respective rescue organization UNTIL they are adopted. There is no expiry date on their time in care, rest assured, these animals WILL find homes.

Q: Where exactly is my foster animal going when he/she arrives to Minnesota/Wisconsin?

A: P4P’s rescue network reaches many different nonprofit organizations in Minnesota and Wisconsin who have the same passion for saving lives. The rescues will receive their respective pet straight off of transport where they will be seen by a veterinary office the same day or week to finalize vetting appointments. They will be treated for heartworm disease, spayed/ neutered, booster vaccines, microchipped, and fecal exams.
