Groet

Hi Renata,
Our Dutch Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users right now, so I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in Dutch, let us know and we can have them do that. But, it might take a while until they're available again.
Now, coming back to your question, encrypting your submissions adds more security in terms of accessing them. We can enable for encryption feature on your form. Jotform also has Form Encryption, which you can enable. This further safeguards sensitive information in your forms. It’s a type of end-to-end encryption, a security measure that guarantees privacy by encrypting your form data when your form users fill it out and submit it. Let me show you how:
- In Form Builder, click Settings on the orange navigation bar.
- Enable Encrypt Form Data and verify your account using your password or your Google account.
- Continue the steps provided after verification.
That's it. You can now enable this feature on your form for added security. We also have a guide on How to Enable Form Encryption that you can check out.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

RenataVermeulenGeantwoord op 5 september 2024 om 10:30i do understand how to do it. But......... I want more. When I use encription than it is not possible to save the form to fill it later.
I use a big form to let people upload a lot of information about their divorce. That are private information. So it must not be. leaking when they are sending it to me.
Do I need to use encripton of is it save anyway.
I m the only person who has access to my computer, and to my jotform account. It is just to be safe when the send the form to me.
I Hope you understand my question

Hi Renata,
That is exactly the purpose of enabling Form Encryption. Once you enable this feature, even you cannot be able to view their responses, not unless you use your encryption key. Using this key will allow you to view the submissions with added security. Jotform itself is secured in nature, but adding this feature will also make your form submissions more secure and will not be viewed with other users who do not have the encryption key.
Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.

RenataVermeulenGeantwoord op 6 september 2024 om 03:00Yes, I want an answer on my question. Why isn't it possible to combine encription and save to finish later?
Now my clients have to fill in the whole big form in once. That's not good.

Hi Renata,
Unfortunately, it is not possible to do so. Because the submitters must revisit the form, which would necessitate breaking encryption, which is impossible.
Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.
