Ik heb "edit link" gevonden. Nu nog hoe ik een formulier vanuit inzendigen kan opsturen naar een relatie met de vraag of degene het formulier zou willen aanpassen met de meest actuele informatie. Hoe doe je dat precies?

    Hi Ton,

Thank you for reaching out to Jotform Enterprise Support. Unfortunately, our Dutch Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users at the moment. I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in Dutch, let us know and we can have them do that. But, keep in mind that you'd have to wait until they're available again.

Now, let me help you with your question. If you would like your users to edit the entries they made to the form, just use the tag {edit_link} to Email Content of Autoresponder.

    • In the navigation bar at the top of the screen, click on Settings.
    • In the menu that opens on the left side of the page, click on Emails.
    • Hover your mouse over the +Add an email and select Autoresponder Email.
    • In the Email Content, click on the +Form Fields blue button and add the {Edit Link} tag anywhere in your email template.
    • Click on Save.

We also have a guide on how to let users update their form submissions at a later date that you can check out.

Alternatively, you can request submission updates in Jotform tables. Let me walk you through it:

To learn more, see Adding and Organizing Columns in Jotform Tables.

    • In the Add a New Column window.

    • Go to the Buttons tab and choose Request Update then click on Next.

Note: For standalone tables, an Export a form message will appear. Click on it to use the Request Update action button.

    • Enter your desired column name for the buttons then click on Next.

    • Now, click on Fields then select your form’s email field to use as the recipient address. Or, specify the email address in the Recipient Addresses field.

You can also include an optional message in the email request from here.

    • Finally, click on Create Column.

The buttons should appear on your table. Click on the entry’s Send Update Request button to send the email request.

Recipients of the email request can click on the Edit Form Response button to update the entry.

    Hi Ton,

Thanks for getting back to us. You can enable the Middle Name in the Options tab. Just click on the element's gear icon to open Properties.

Once done, follow the steps I shared earlier to request an update from the user anytime. If that's not what you are referring to, please explain more so we can help you better.

Let us know if you need more help.

Thanks for the support I still have some questions whose answers could help me.

    1.

I have all vendors in the table however for some columns I used multiple choice option where multiple answers are possible. In the excel created it is difficult to filter. I am thinking of making a separate column for each answer so the filtering is better. Is that the right solution?

    2.

The pdf that is created has a file name could you replace this file name with a "field" so you can immediately see which file it is. In my example I want to replace this with the name of the company.

    3. Can you explain to me exactly what I can do with the update option. Can I send in between other than clicking on the field? Or is that the only option? What are the options and tools?

    4.

Is it possible to create a pdf where I have selected columns or is it only possible with all columns?

I would love to hear and thanks immensely for the support.

    Hi Ton,

Thanks for patiently waiting. Can you tell us which update button you are referring to? The Request Update action button in Jotform Tables provides an easy way to send the edit link of an entry. You can specify the recipient addresses where the link will be sent along with an optional message. To create an action button, please refer to the method described by my colleague above. This action is a feature that allows you to send an email by clicking a button.

    • To change your action button settings, open the column menu, then select Edit column preferences.

    • To Customize Button Style, open the column menu, then select Customize Button Style.

How to let users edit their submissions? Image 2 Screenshot 41 We also have a guide about how to let users update their form submissions at a later date that you can check out. Also, to avoid confusion, I moved your other question to a new thread and helped you with that here and here and here.
