File Upload: How to rename an uploaded file?

With that being said, let me assist you with your inquiry. If I understood you correctly, do you want to rename an uploaded file that is uploaded via the File Upload element? Unfortunately, there is no way to rename the file name uploaded files.

I've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers, but when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

If you want to upload photos and then modify them, you can check out this widget called File Uploader by Uploadcare where you can edit the images by cropping or optimizing them before submitting the form.
