Spreadsheet to form widget: Option to populate data to prevent user's from filling out the form again

ho usato jotform per le iscrizioni a 2 manifestazioni ciclistiche e mi sono trovata molto bene.

Volendo continuare a usare questo tipo di form, volevo sapere se è possibile recuperare i dati inseriti da parte dell'utente.

Mi spiego meglio:

Gli utenti compilano una form dove indicano i propri dati anagrafici (nome, cognome, data di nascita, telefono, mail, etc.) che spesso sono informazioni che non cambiano, inoltre devono caricare 2 documenti importanti che ogni ciclista rinnova annualmente: il certificato medico e il tesseramento ad una società sportiva.

Entrambi i documenti devo necessariamente controllarli successivamente al ricevimento della form pr validare l'iscrizione alla manifestazione.

Vorrei capire se si può trovare un modo per evitare che un utente che si iscrive ad un'altra manifestazione da me gestita debba inserire nuovamente gli stessi campi ma possa soltanto aggiornare eventualmente i campi variati.

In questo modo sarebbe più veloce e facile la compilazione da parte dell'utente e sopratutto la mia gestione successiva.

Mi immagino un flusso così descritto:

L'utente accede alla form con un id univoco (mail), se è un utente nuovo compila TUTTI i campi, se è già iscritto precedentemente ad un'altra manifestazioe allora trova tutte le proprie informazioni e, se vuole ne modifica alcune, se vede un alert che indica, per esempio, che il certificato medico è scaduto sa che deve aggiornarlo.

Now, let me help you with your question. We have a Spreadsheet to form widget that you can use to import your data. Let me show you how to use it:

• Create a spreadsheet that includes your data in the structure you see below. It's important that the column names in the spreadsheet and field names on the form are the same.

• In Form Builder, click on the Add Form Element menu on the left side of the page.
• Under the Widgets tab, search for the Spreadsheet to Form widget and add it to your form.

• In the Widget Settings window that opens up, upload your data file and customize the other options. 
• Then, click on Update Widget.

• In the final stage, add the fields to view values and name them the same as on the spreadsheet.

ho provato a usare il widget ma molti campi non me li popola.

Soprattutto nome e cognome e le date.

Thanks for getting back to us. The column names from the spreadsheet must directly match the field names on the form, otherwise, the data will not autopopulate. You can check out my screencast below to see my results:

The widget only supports the following form elements:

• Full Name
• Email
• Time
• Short Text
• Long Text
• Dropdown
• Single Choice
• Multiple Choice
• Scale Rating
• Star Rating

I am unable to see the contents of the Excel file uploaded on the form. But if the fields are not populating, the issue is the column names do not match with the target fields on the form.

ho provato e purtroppo non riesce a popolare i campi data.

Ho provato a convertire, nel file excel, i campi data in testo e fare popolare un campo testo e così ho risolto, purtroppo però giustamente dopo non è possibile utilizzare il calendario per aggiornare il campo data perché lo vede come un testo... :-(

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, it's not possible to populate a Date field using Spreadsheet to Form Widget. The workaround you mentioned is the available option for the date field. While the feature you're looking for isn't available at Jotform right now, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers, but when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.
