Account Settings: How to change the payment method from Credit Card to PayPal?

    Hi, I can't use Paypal as a payment method, I can't cancel the credit card unless I insert another credit card, I attach the video.
    I have to pay with PayPal, can you tell me how to do it?

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I am sorry you are having trouble with this. To change your Payment method from Credit Card to PayPal, you will first need to cancel your subscription. Let me show you how:

    1. On your My Forms page, hover your mouse over your avatar in the top-right corner and click on Settings.

    2. Under the Billing tab, click on Change Plan.

    3. Click on the Downgrade button to switch to the Starter (Free) Plan.

    4. There will be a pop-up window with some extra information about the downgrade. Please follow those instructions to continue with canceling your plan.

    Since your subscription is ending on March 11, 2024, I suggest that you upgrade your account after that, but please make sure to cancel your subscription first, so your plan will not auto-renew. Here are the steps on how you can upgrade your account:

    1. On your My Forms page, click on Pricing in the blue navigation bar at the top of the page.

    You can also upgrade your subscription on your account’s Upgrade/Billing page.

    2. On the Pricing page, choose the plan you want to buy.

    3. In the popup window, choose either a Monthly or Yearly payment schedule and either Credit/Debit Card or PayPal as the payment method. 

    Here’s an example of the Bronze plan:

    After you click on Continue, you'll need to enter your Credit/Debit Card details.

    If you choose to use PayPal, you’ll get redirected to the PayPal payment page to complete the payment. Check out this guide for more details about upgrading your account.

    If I downgrade to starter and then upgrade to Gold again, will I lose the modules and everything I have?

    Hi Messaggi,

    Thanks for getting back to us. If you downgrade your subscription back to the Starter plan and then upgrade it to the Gold plan using PayPal, the forms and submissions will remain as long as you upgrade your account within an hour of downgrading it.

    But, we recommend that download your submissions first before downgrading your account. This way, you can be sure that you have a backup in case something goes wrong. Let me show you how:

    • On your My Tables page, next to the form with the submissions you want to see, click on View Table.

    • Hover your mouse over the Download All button on the right side of the page. 
    • Now, choose CSVExcel, or PDF format and download your data.

    It seems absurd to me to have to risk losing everything because my credit card has expired, isn't there a system where I can change without risk?
    I mean, this is the first time I've heard something like this, do I download the data, what if I then have difficulty reloading the data?

    Hi Messaggi,

    Thanks for getting back to us. If any case that the subscription downgraded to stater plan if the credit card has expired. All your data will be disabled only, you won't lose until you upgrade to Gold plan subscription again. In the event that your account downgraded to stater plan, you can still access your submission table and you can download your submission. Just like my colleague show you how you can view and download your submission table.

    I changed my credit card (I gave up PayPal).
    How can I pay now in advance by the 11th so as not to have surprises in the event of an unsuccessful payment?

    Hi Messaggi,

    Thanks for getting back to us. The subscription will auto-renew itself on its anniversary, so unfortunately, the only way you can pay in advance is to actually cancel the plan, we refund the remaining credits, and then you can re-upgrade.
