Stripe supports payment authorization, which allows you to authorize payments and charge customers later — a two-step payment solution that is helpful for businesses that require verification before delivering product orders.
Note
Stripe’s payment authorization expires after 7 days, so keep track of the authorized payments and charge customers within the given period. If it happens that the authorization expires, you must ask your customers to re-submit the form, so you can initiate the payment.
To enable payment authorization
- In the Form Builder, click on the Stripe payment element.
- Select Payment Settings.
- Open the Additional Gateway Settings.
- Look for the Charge Customer Immediately, and toggle it to No.
- Finally, click the Continue button to save the changes.

I’m able to attach Stripe as the payment but I’m unable to see where to capture the credit card information for the remaining balance later.
