A multi-step approval allows multiple approvers to review and decide on requests before the process can advance to the next stage. For instance, you might need HR approval first, followed by setup approvals from IT or other departments.
To create a multi-step approval
- In the Workflow Builder, add an Approval element to your flow.
- Select the gear icon and configure your Approval. See How to Set Up Approval in Jotform Workflows for more information.
- From your Approval, create a flow for your outcome (e.g., Approve).
- Connect and configure your second Approval.
- Repeat the process if needed and complete your approval flow at your discretion.
Aside from the Approval element, you can also use Approve & Sign for your multi-step approval. See How to Require a Signature in Jotform Workflows to learn more.

I need some assistance creating an approval.
HR approves the hiring form and then it needs to go to 3 different departments for set up:
IT
University
ERP
I want each group to be able to indicate when their part is done
Please advise. I've watched the videos and can't seem to set it up this way.

We have an approval timeline that ends in deny if certain information isn't provided. Is it possible for the approval process to be restarted if the documents are provided later. The original jotform does not need amending, it is supporting evidence that has been requested.
I've gone into tables and found the record but there is no option to take over the form, as it is showing complete.

I've got multistep approvals working however it would be good for the second approver to see in the email who has approved the request at the previous stage. Can the email form contain this information?

Hello! We have multiple approvals in our flow. For some submissions, we need to add attachments after submissions (Because we needed more info, documentation, etc). When we do this, our approval committee receives the email notification that they need to approve but isn't able to see the submission. How do we prevent this from happening?

Is there a limit on approvers/emails that can be sent in the approval flow within any of the paid subscriptions?

I have a form where I need the 1st approval to complete a verification form and add it to the approval flow before it goes to a 2nd approver. Is this possible?

Good Afternoon,
I am trying to create a multistep approval based on an employee branch--meaning IF an employee works at location A and selects location A from the drop-down--their request will go to the specific approver for location A. I would like to set this up for 7 locations. Am I able to do this on one form...or should I create 7 different forms?
Thank you in advance!

Hola!

Good day, I am trying to create a new hire requisition form.
Is it possible to have the Approvers email be an entry vs. a single preselected approver? So the person requesting the approval would enter the approvers email?

I configured my flow with two approval levels, but the last one does not receive the requests approved by the first level. What should i do to correct it?

Can I set up an approval flow so that a form template can be sent to a person for a signature, then sent to a second person for a second signature, then sent to a third person for a final signature, if I won't know the email address of the third recipient until just before I need to send the form?
I have a form that a teacher will fill out and sign. They will then have to send the form with their signature to management for a second signature. Management will then need to send that form to a third party (a parent) but we won't be able to send it until the first 2 signatures have been collected. How do we set this up?
