Cordialement,

Hi Christian,
Our French Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users right now, so I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in French, let us know and we can have them do that. But, it might take a while until they're available again.
Now, coming back to your question, just to clarify, you want to enter the department in the Number field. Is that correct? If you have three departments, and you will collect three different numbers for each department, I recommend using a Dropdown field and add the three departments. Let me show you how:
1. In Form Builder, add a Dropdown field. Add the three departments.
2. Add three Number fields that correspond to each department.
3. Add a Show/Hide a Field condition that will show/hide the Number field. Do this on the three departments.
You can check my cloned form if this meets your requirements. If this demo form is not what you're looking for, can you give me a short description or scenario on how you want this to be implemented?
Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.
