Question sur besoins spécifiques

    Hi Stephane,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, our French Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users at the moment. I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in French, let us know and we can have them do that. But, keep in mind that you'd have to wait until they're available again.

Now, let me help you with your question. Unfortunately, we currently do not have a feature where you add a file to your form and check how much time they spend reading a document. However, you can add a Timer Widget to your form so that you will know how much time they spend on submitting your form. Let me show you how to add it to your form:

    1. Click on the Add Form Element menu on the left side of the page.
    2. Under the Widgets tab, search for the Timer widget.
    3. Click on it or drag and drop it to your form.
    4. Under the General tab, set the Display Timer value to No so that the timer will not be visible on your form.
    5. Click on Update Widget, and you're done.

As for adding an Audio file to your form, you can check this related thread where you can embed a simple HTML audio player on your form.

Reach out again if you have any other questions.

    Hi Ryan,

I'm not sure how I got on the french version of the and it felt strange asking for support in french. We're trying to create some sort of a community app where everibody will be able to track their own activities and see how they compare to others, see how much time the entire group has spent reading today/this week/ last month... There will be a store and I see that maintaining a store, managing emails, subscriptions, payments are all offered out of the box. Is there anyways to attach some kind of blog? Maybe embedding some facebook group discussions... As an IT developer myself, I can see that your product could easily provide a solution for 95% of our needs but I was curious about any possibilities to expand what Jotform propose to fulfill our specific needs. I love your product because the person that will be in charge has no IT background and from what I can see, once the site is up and running, she'll be able to do whatever she wants pretty easily. Thanks

    Hi Stephane,

Thanks for getting back to us.  To clarify, are you referring to adding the Facebook group discussions on your form? If so, unfortunately, it is not possible. I tested it on my end by adding the link to the group discussion and it shows a "refused to connect" error. However, if you want to add your Form to a Facebook page, you can do that by following this guide.

If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more so I can help you better?

No, in fact what she want is to add some kind of page where they could post on a subject and have the users comment on the matter. That's why I thought linking to the facebook page could be interesting. But my main question is about the possibility to customize some pages. Since I'm a developer, I coud easily create an external page that would respect the overal look and feel to manage the experience she has in mind with her audio files and include this page in some kind of container. Of course, that would necessitate som API calls in the back to gather the information.

    Hi Stephane,

Thanks for getting back to us. If you are referring to fully customizing your form, it is possible by injecting CSS codes. However, this feature is only available for Classic Layout forms. We have a guide about How to Inject Custom CSS Codes that you can check out.

You can also check our API documentation on this page.

Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.

No, I'm working with CSS on a daily basis and all it does is formatting the overal look of fields, forms, sections... The API section could have been a solution for me but from what I can see, the fact is that it only gives access to Jotform informations but doesn't allow to send any. I'll continue lookin around. Thanks

    Hi Stephane,

Thanks for getting back to us. If you are referring to sending the submission data to your API, this is possible by sending it via a POST request. You can do that by changing your Thank You Page to redirect to an external link where you set your endpoint. Let me walk you through it:

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
    2. Click on Thank You Page in the menu on the left side of the page.
    3. Select the Redirect to an external link after submission.
    4. Enter your Endpoint or destination URL.
    5. Turn ON the Redirect with HTTP POST.
