    Hi CEDIM_SDMO,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, our French Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users at the moment. I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in French, let us know and we can have them do that. But, keep in mind that you'd have to wait until they're available again.

Now, let me help you with your question. I’m sorry you're having difficulties with this. Let me walk you through it:

    • On your My Forms page, hover your mouse over your Avatar/Profile image on the top-right side of the page.
    • In the menu that comes up, click on Settings.SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP Host Image 1 Screenshot 60
    • Scroll down to Sender Emails and click on Add Sender Email.SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP Host Image 2 Screenshot 71
    • Enter your SMTP details and once done, click on Send Test Email to confirm that everything is working. If it works, click on Save Email. Otherwise, correct the details.SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP Host Image 3 Screenshot 82

Now that you're done with the custom sender email setup. You'll need to select the newly added custom sender email in the Emails setting of your form. Let me show you how:

    1. Open your form in Form Builder, and in the orange navigation bar at the top of the screen, click on Settings.
    2. In the menu that opens on the left side of the page, click on Emails.
    3. Hover your mouse over the Notification/Autoresponder Banner and click on the Pencil icon to edit it.

    4. Next, go to the Advanced tab and select the newly added custom sender email in the Sender Email dropdown.

    5. Click on Save to save the changes.

That's it. Your emails will be sent using your own SMTP server from now on. Can you try it again and see how it goes? If you run into the same issue again, let us know, and we'll do some more testing to see what's going on. It would help us to understand what’s happening if you could take a screenshot and send it to us. We have a guide here explaining how to do that.

We also have a guide about How to Set up SMTP for a Form that you can check out.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi CEDIM_SDMO,

Thanks for the screenshots. I understand things much better now. The SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP Host appears if your SMTP settings are incorrect. Please check the correctness of your SMTP settings. If you're unsure, we suggest you contact your email provider and verify if the Port Number, Host Name, and Security Protocol are correct.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
