'Borrowed Ears': A Short Film Showcase
‘Borrowed Ears’ is a one-night community short film showcase celebrating the intimate works of local racialized and queer Brampton artists.The short films and the post-screening Q&A explores the various meanings of culture, self, and ‘home’. 'Borrowed Ears' is supported by Brampton Arts Organization's (BAO) Community Connects Program.
Rules + Terms:
Films from all genres under 15 mins will be considered. We are seeking films made by 2SLGBTQIA+ and BIPOC groups. Participants also must be from or hold close connection to the city of Brampton. Once selected, burn-in captions and subtitles in English will be requested from each filmmaker. All submissions must be received by July 19th, 2024. Films will be selected by a committee made up of local artists and BAO staff. If assistance is required please contact hannagulzarpeters@gmail.com. Selected films will screen in person at Cyril Clark Library's Lecture Theatre on August 23rd.
