How to Prepopulate the Dropdown Field options with Data from an External Source

You can prepopulate the answer on the Dropdown field but it's not possible to prepopulate the options on it. Take note that all Dropdown Widgets are currently static, so it's not possible to prepopulate the options from an external source and the options can only be entered manually.
