Hi appointmentspecialist8,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, our Spanish Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users at the moment. I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in Spanish, let us know and we can have them do that. But, keep in mind that you'd have to wait until they're available again.
Now, coming back to your question. You can achieve that by adding two Approval elements to your workflow, the first one will have three outcomes, where one will be pending, which will send the submission to the other Approval element. Let me show you how to do it:
- Open your Workflow and click on Add Elements.
- In the menu on the left side click on Approval twice, to add two Approval elements.
- Now click on one of them and click on Settings, click on Add New Outcome, and rename it.
Now you need to add another email, which will let the user know that the submission is pending, then connect the outcomes to elements. Here’s how to do it:
- Click on Add Element, then click on Email.
- Drag two outcomes from the first Approval element to the end Email element, they will be Approve and Deny outcomes.
- Now connect the Pending outcome to the Email element you have added, and then connect the Email element to the second Approval element.
- The last Approval element will be connected to the end Email element as well.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Hi appointmentspecialist8,
Are you referring of adding a comment to your approval? If yes, please keep in mind that you're being taken to the form's Inbox after approval as that's normal behavior after approving an approval. You will need to turn on Require Comments, so a comment box will appear when you approve an approval. Here's how you can do that:
- In the form's Approval Flow, select the Approver and click on its Gear icon.
- Then, go to the Advanced tab.
- Turn on Require Comments.
That's it! If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more so I can help you better?Keep us updated and let us know if you need any other help.
