    Hola!

He estado trabajando en un jotform en el que tenía el castellano como lenguaje principal y luego lo he traducido totalmente al gallego. Me gustaría ahora que el gallego fuese el idioma que apareciese en primer lugar al entrar en el cuestionario. ¿Existe alguna forma o tengo que traducirlo de nuevo?

    Hi Fernando,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, our Spanish Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users at the moment. I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in Spanish, let us know and we can have them do that. But, keep in mind that you'd have to wait until they're available again.

Now, let me help you with your question.  It's easy to translate an existing form into another language. Let me walk you through it:

    1. Open your form in Form Builder.

    2. In the orange navigation bar at the top of the screen, click on Settings.

    3. Click on the Show More Options button.

    4. Scroll down to the Form Language section and select the language you want to translate the form from.

    5. Click on the Edit button next to Translations, and then click on the Add Form Language button.

    6. Select the language you want to translate the form to, and then click on the Add Form Language button.

Now, the translated form will look like the one below:

    7. Go to Form Warnings to see/edit any untranslated fields. And here you can edit the translated fields too. It'll be automatically saved when you add or edit any text.

    8. When you're done making the form multilingual, you can click on Preview Form to see how it'll look to anyone filling out your form:

Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.

Hi! Thank you for you answer. The problem is that i've already traslated it, and I want to change Galician as the main laguage, using the traslation I made and swithc spanish as the "secod lenguage"... Or, at least, make it as the lenguage people will see first.

    Hi Fernando,

I have checked and cloned the form that you currently have in the account. I can see that the language is not selected yet, but If you translated another form from the form builder to Galician, you can add the language parameter to the form URL with the language code. That way, you will be able to send to some people the form in the language that you prefer. For example, the following links will open the same form, but in 3 different languages:

    Galician form: https://form.jotform.com/242563507319963?language=gl

    Spanish form: https://form.jotform.com/242563507319963?language=es

    English form: https://form.jotform.com/242563507319963?language=en

To do so, you may need to get the form URL that you can find here, and then add into the link ?language= and the two-letter code of the language that you want to be shown. In regard to the field labels that you already created, you may have to update them manually for every language, as it is not currently possible to change it automatically.

We also have a guide about how to make the forms multilingual that you can check out. Additionally, I add this other guide on how to change the thank-you message depending on the language used.

Let us know if you have any additional questions.
