Buen día, tengo un formulario conectado a un pdf rellenable, la situación es la siguiente, existe otro pdf que también deseo rellenar con los datos del formulario ya conectado. ¿Es posible conectar ambos pdf a un solo formulario?

    Hi AlianzaSeguros,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Our Spanish Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users right now, so I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in Spanish, let us know and we can have them do that. But, it might take a while until they're available again.

Now, coming back to your question, unfortunately, it is not possible to link another form's PDF to another form. Could you explain a bit more of what you are trying to do so that we can provide you with a workaround? We can prefill or pass on data from one form to another, but the user must still submit the second form. Or do you want to create a separate PDF while keeping the data from the same form?

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.

    Hi Marehlene,

I have no problem receiving support in English, as long as you understand the requirement.

Let me explain better what we need: Currently, I have a manual PDF form where my clients register and declare all their personal and health information. Based on that form (manual), we have created a digital version in Jotform which is connected to the original document (PDF), allowing clients to download and have a record of what they have declared in the form they signed.

Now, I need this digital form (Jotform) to be connected to another document, PDF 2, because I need additional information from them, including their personal data such as names, surnames, age, date of birth, etc., as well as their financial data, such as Monthly Income, among other details.

To make it more convenient for my clients and to avoid them having to complete their personal information again, I want to add questions about financial data to the digital form. The answers to the personal data, financial data, and the signature should then be automatically filled into PDF 2.

Could you please assist me with this integration?

Thank you in advance for your support.

    Hi Marehlene,

Another question has come up. I need my clients to provide their height, but I require the value to be numeric with decimals. Could you please guide me on how to do that?

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hi AlianzaSeguros,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. It is possible to pass the data entered in the first submission of the PDF smart form to a second form that will be sent to the user with all their info prefilled into the second form. The most simple way to achieve this is through Jotform Approvals. Let me show you how:

    1. Open the first form in the Smart PDF Form builder, go to the Settings tab, and select Approval Flows on the left side.

    2. Click on Create approval flow, and you will be redirected to the new approval flow instantly.

    3. Now, on the Approval flow add a form element after the first form, select the second form, and set the email address by selecting the email form field of the first form.

    4. Go to the Prefill tab, select the first form, then map the fields you wish to prefill with the first submission data and save the changes.

This way, the user will receive an email inviting them to fill out the second form. Once they open it, the data of the fields you have mapped will be prefilled with what the user entered in the first form. You can also check out this guide about how to create an approval flow and this other one about how to set up a follow-up form in the approval flow.

Regarding your last question about how to add a height field in the form, I have moved it to a new thread so we can treat the subjects separately. You can check out my response through this link.

Give it a try and feel free to let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

    Hi Alejandro,

    I hope you are well.

I have configured everything step by step, but the only thing I cannot assign is the signature field. Could you please let me know how to do it?

Thank you very much for your help.

    Hi AlianzaSeguros,

Thanks for getting back to us. I apologize for not specifying this before, but unfortunately, the signature field is something that cannot be prefilled into the other form. Here is a list of the elements that can be prefilled:

    • Full Name
    • Email
    • Address
    • Short Text
    • Long Text
    • Fill in the Blank
    • Phone
    • Number
    • Date Picker
    • Time
    • Dropdown
    • Single Choice
    • Multiple Choice
    • Scale Rating
    • Spinner

Feel free to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hi Alejandro,

Could you please indicate another way for my clients to add their signature to the PDF, or at least another way for it to be inserted automatically?

    Thank you for your attention.

    Hi Alejandro,

    One more question please

I did everything indicated with the approval flow and it allows me to link the two forms and to my clients by email it is attached this way:

Can one form be used to fill out 2 different PDFs? Image 1 Screenshot 40

But I need these two forms with their respective responses to be attached by email to my clients and I would also like to see how we can visualize the responses of our clients from these two forms because I was viewing the INBOX FORM and it only generates a general detail of the responses of the first form and you do not show me the answers within the second form.

    Thank you for your time.
