Getting spam emails from Jotform

    Getting from 50 to 150 spam emails each day from noreply@jotform . com*

    not giving my email address for obvious reasons.

    please shutdown the spam

    Hi Scott,

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Have you followed what I suggested in the other thread about turning off the setting to receive Jotform emails from your Account Settings page?

    If the spam emails you're receiving contain submission data, please share your email address so we can check our mail log to see if the spam emails are recorded on our end. If you don't want to share your email address here in our Support Forum. You can just send it to support@jotform.com and include Ticket #5500869 in the Subject Line. Please also include a screenshot of some of the spam emails you're getting from noreply@jotform.com.

    Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.

    Hi Scott,

    Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention,

    We want to assure you that Jotform is not sending you the emails about which you have notified us. It seems that in this case a third party is engaged in “phishing”, where they “spoof” another party’s email address to make it appear that the emails are coming from the impersonated party (Jotform in this case), when in fact that party is sending them.

    Due to the nature of the email protocols, it is up to each email provider (e.g., Gmail, Hotmail, outlook) to validate the identity of senders, and unfortunately, it appears that your email provider is not enforcing this validation, so while Jotform has taken all possible precautions, email spoofing is outside of our control.

    We take Jotform security issues very seriously, and we do what we can on technical and other levels to ensure the security of our users’ accounts, but unfortunately, Jotform, like virtually every other legitimate company, is not immune from nor can we control malicious actors who send such spam.
