    Hi Leonard,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, our German Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users at the moment. I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in German, let us know and we can have them do that. But, keep in mind that you'd have to wait until they're available again.

Now, let me help you with your issue. It's possible that you were set as one of the email recipients so you're receiving emails from noreply@jotform.com. Can you confirm if you previously filled out a form? Or, did you create a form using our platform that may have used your email address as the notification email recipient? Lastly, can you share the email address where you're receiving the spam emails so we can check?

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.

    Hi Leonard,

If you filled out a form, you should've received the email only once after your submission. If the emails you're getting are from the same form you filled out, you can reach out to the form owner and notify him that you're continuously receiving emails from his form. You can request him to remove you from the recipients of his form's emails.

Also, can you share the email address where you're receiving the spam emails? This is so we can check our mail logs to locate the form sending the emails. You can also try going to your Settings page and check the 'Turn off all Jotform emails' setting.

Just note that this setting only affects the types of emails listed above it such as newsletters, promotions, articles, etc. If your email address was added as a notification email recipient, the form owner would need to manually remove your email from the Form Builder page.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

    1083361270F800900@icloud.com

ist somehow the e-mail they send it to. But that's not my e-mail. I still do receive it on my account.

i also do get them from several other "fake" / "spam" E-Mails.

    Hi Leonard,

I checked the 1083361270F800900@icloud.com email address in our mail logs but didn't see any emails sent to it. It's possible it's a distribution list email and your email address is included there. Can you share a screenshot of the email you're receiving that is coming from noreply@jotform.com? Is that email containing submission data like the sample screenshot below?

Also, before you take a screenshot of it, click the small downward arrow on the recipient section to show the other details like the Sender Email, Recipient, Date, and Subject. Since this is a guest Support ticket, you may not be able to directly post screenshots here since you're required to log into your Jotform account first before being able to share screenshots in your reply.

In that case, you can upload the screenshot on a file-sharing site like Google Drive and just share the uploaded file link here so we can check it. Make sure the file is viewable by anyone who has the link.

After we hear back from you, we'll get a better idea of the type of email you're receiving from Jotform.

    Hi Scott,

I've moved your concern to a new thread. You can check that out here. If you have a follow-up message or question, you can post it there.

    Hi Leonard,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We want to assure you that Jotform is not sending you the emails about which you have notified us. It seems that in this case a third party is engaged in “phishing”, where they “spoof” another party’s email address to make it appear that the emails are coming from the impersonated party (Jotform in this case), when in fact that party is sending them.

Due to the nature of the email protocols, it is up to each email provider (e.g., Gmail, Hotmail, outlook) to validate the identity of senders, and unfortunately, it appears that your email provider is not enforcing this validation, so while Jotform has taken all possible precautions, email spoofing is outside of our control.

We take Jotform security issues very seriously, and we do what we can on technical and other levels to ensure the security of our users’ accounts, but unfortunately, Jotform, like virtually every other legitimate company, is not immune from nor can we control malicious actors who send such spam.

Reach out again if you have any more questions.
