    Hi Manuel,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, our German Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users at the moment. I'll try to assist you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd prefer to receive support in German, let us know and we can have them do that. But, keep in mind that you'd have to wait until they're available again.

Now, let me help you with your question. You can use Input Table to automatically calculate a cell’s value with Jotform’s form calculation widget or by using conditions. Let me show you how:

    1. In the Form Builder, click the Add Form Element button.
    2. Scroll down to Survey Elements.
    3. Click the Input Table field to add. You can also drag and drop it into the form.
    4. Set it up according to your preferred columns and rows.

In the above form, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th columns are summed up into the 5th column labeled Total. Here’s how you can do that:

    1. Go to the Settings tab.
    2. Click Conditions on the left panel.
    3. Choose Update/Calculate Field from the logic options.
    4. Create your conditional logic according to the below GIF:

We also have a guide about Calculate Values in the Input Table Through Condition that you can check out. You might also want to check out this guide about How to use lookup in Excel and Jotform Tables.

Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.

    Hallo,

    Hier meine Test Tabelle.

    Hello Manuel,

Thanks for getting back to Jotform Support and for the additional information. However, I am not sure if I understand this correctly. But based on what I understand, you want to have a fixed value that users can select and make calculations. Let me provide some additions to my colleague's instructions.

Will the user select a single answer for each row or multiple answers for each row? If the user will answer one answer for each row, you will need to use Radio Button but if you will allow them to pick multiple answers per row, then Checkbox should be set as the Input Type. Follow the steps and screencasts below:

    • Click on the Properties (gear icon) of the Input Table element.
    • Under the Fields tab, select what Input Type you prefer.
    • Then under the Options tab, set the Calculation Value of each row.

    • Go to the Settings tab, and select Conditions from the left selection.
    • Choose the Update/Calculate Field conditional logic.
    • Here is the sample calculation that you will need to add:

    Radio Button

    Checkbox

If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain more information so I can help you better? It would help us to understand what’s happening if you could take a screenshot and send it to us. We have a guide here explaining how to do that.

Keep us updated and let us know if you need any more help.

    Hallo,

    Hi Manuel,

Thanks for getting back to us. Unfortunately, our German Support agents are currently busy helping other Jotform users at the moment. But, keep in mind that you'd have to wait until they're available again. To prefill the table with data, You can use Tables Prefill option. Let me show you how:

    • Login to your Jotform account, open your form and navigate to the Publish tab in the Form Builder.
    • Click Prefill option available on the left and select Tables Prefill option. How to use the Table Prefill and Input Table Calculation Inquiry Image 1 Screenshot 20
    • Select the source Table and Tab then Map the Tables’ fields to your form fields
    • Click on the Save Settings

To perform calculation based on conditions you can use Update/Calculate field condition as explained earlier by my colleague.

Let us know if you need any more help.
