Not receiving Email Notification

    How do you do? 


    We have not received confirmation of the completed forms since May 10. Unfortunately, it is not possible to speak to someone at your office. Our patience is wearing thin.

    If the problem is not resolved soon, we will be forced to change providers.

    Hi Jessica,

    Thanks for reaching out to us for help. Although, we do not offer phone support. We'll be happy to assist you here on our Support Forum.

    Now, as for why you're not receiving a confirmation email, there are two causes actually. First, the recipient address is currently in our bounce list, and I have removed it already. The second one why you might not be receiving a confirmation email, is because you're using a verified email sender, which has long been disabled from our system.

    To fix the issue with the sender, you will either need to use Jotform's email sender noreply@jotform.com or setup an SMTP email if you want to send email notifications from your own email server. To change the sender, you can do it from the Email Notication's Advanced Setting. Let me walk you through it:

    1. In the Form Builder, click on the Settings tab.

    2. Select Emails from the left side menu.

    3. Edit the Email Notification by clicking on the pencil icon.

    4. Next, go to the Advanced Tab.

    5. Lastly, update the Sender email and click on Save.

    As for setting up an SMTP email, let me show you how to do it:

    • Go to your My Account page, and click on Settings, or visit here directly.
    • Click on the Add Sender Email button.

    • Enter the information in the fields in the set up screen. Most of the time, the email address and the username are the same and the password you have to use is the one you use to access your mailbox (not the Jotform password) but this still may depend on your server configuration.

    • When you're finished, click on the Send Test Email button to make sure that everything is working.

    After you've successfully set this up, the SMTP email should be available in the list of email senders in your Email Notification.
