How to collect signature and disable fields?

step two is, now the „Teilnehmervertrag“ needs a Signatur from the client, but the client has to get with out acces to other fields.

I would suggest uploading a PDF to Jotform sign where you can easily make your PDF document ready for online signing with Jotform Sign. Hey Aries, thanks but you didn’t get us.

Your college before was closer to our need, we can’t upload each time the Formular. Because every time it’s another one, it’s based on the step before.

we need the already filed formular from step 1 (which WE prefilled by hubspot) and the client which has to do the signatures. the customer should not have access to the step before, only to the signature field

Thanks for getting back to us. I suggest using the widget Get Form Page URL in connection with conditional logic to hide or make read only prefill fields. Let me show you how:

1. In Smart PDF Form Builder, click on Add Form Element in the blue navigation menu at the top.
2. Go to the tab Widgets and search for the Widget Get Form Page URL.
3. Add the widget via Drag & Drop to your form.

In the next step, we create a condition when the URL has the slug prefill inside the fields should be read only. Let me show you how:

1. In Smart PDF Form Builder, in the blue navigation bar at the top of the screen, click on Settings.
2. Click on Conditions on the left side of the screen.
3. Select Enable/Require/Mask Field as condition.

4. Create a condition as seen in the following screenshot and click Save.

5 You will need to disable each field one by one, clicking on the Plus right beside.

Hey Andreas, thank you for this quick answer, this is exactly what we are searching, we are so close to the target. We are amazed how much is possible with jotform!

Just one step is missing, then we would be happy!! We use prefill from hubspot & then some Deatils we fill them out by our self like "UE, Datum etc.", after this step, when the "Teilnehmervertrag" is succesfully filled, we want the client to sign.

If you could tell us, how to include this linking step we would be happy.

Thanks for getting back to us. Since the field will not be able to be edited or filled up using the workaround that the previous support provided in relation to this, you can use the request update feature as a workaround. The Request Update action button in Jotform Tables allows you to easily send the edit link of an entry via email. You can specify the recipient addresses to which the link will be sent, along with an optional message. Let me show you how:

1. Go to My Tables and choose the submitted form.

2. Then click on View Table.

3. Next, click on +Add button.

4. Then choose Buttons.

5. Click on Request Update and hit Next.

6. It will ask you to enter your button name. You can customize the button name.

7. Then you can enter the recipient email address of the person who needs to sign the form. And click on Create Column

After you created the button it should look like the screenshot below. You will have a button to send update request.

Note: You can't send update request if you already have submitted form with Jotform Sign. As per checking, you have a Jotform Sign on your form, you will have to remove it first before submission.

Before you send the Request Update for the submission, you have to edit the form in form builder and add the signature field.

1. In Form Builder, click on Add Form Elements.

2. Then click on Signature to add it to the field.

Here's the result after I added the signature field and send the request from the submission tables.

The recipient will receive an email notification to update the form.

Once they click Edit Form Response, they will see the prefilled information, and they will be able to sign the form only.

Hey thank you for the answer, we try it but its does not work at all.

Could you give us a detailed explanation ? step by step, how does jotform know, this refers to the signature field ? We would delete the signature field and wait again for your explanation.

And we have to do this steps every time ? Because we prefill by hubspot some details and the fill by our self the rest like "UE, Ende etc." and then we need a signature from the client and its every time a different client with a different email. Thank you !

Thanks for getting back to us. I'd suggest using the Prefill feature. So, after Hubspot, you can Manually prefill the form and send the form to your client so they can sign it. Let me show you how to set that up:

1. In Form Builder, in the blue navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Publish.
2. Click on Prefill in the menu on the left side of the page.
3. Select Manual Prefill and Add a New Prefill.

Once done, you can Send the Invitation to your client.

Now, to prevent the client from accessing the other fields, you can use Andreas' workaround but change the condition to the following:

thank you. But like we told you before, its not only prefill, there is one step missing, we prefill some details AND we fill out some fields by ourselves. So only this one step is missing, then it would be peerfect.

And do we have to this steps every time or it would be the next time done, by 1-2 klicks ? Pls give us a a detailed description. Thank you.

Step 1: Prefill by Hubspot

Step 2: Fill some fields by ourself like "UE, Datum etc."

Step 3: The client have so sign the completed form (every time a new client & we use same steps for every client, at the end, we need a signatur)

Step 4: The Client signs succesfully and we can use the form
