    Guten Tag

    usw.

    Besten Dank für Eure Hilfe

    Hi Wolfgang,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, our German Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users at the moment. I'll try to assist you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd prefer to receive support in German, let us know and we can have them do that. But, keep in mind that you'd have to wait until they're available again.

Now, I'll help you with your question. I need a bit more time to check on this. I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.

    Hi Wolfgang,

Thanks for patiently waiting. If I understand correctly, you want to select a value in the drop-down menu and write another value in the new field, If this is the case, you can do this by setting a condition. For example, if the dropdown equals A, then write A to the target field. Let me show you how:

    1.  In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the screen, click on Settings.
    2.  In the menu that opens on the left side of the page, click on Conditions.
    3. Then, click on the Update / Calculate Field condition.

Pass a different value from the selected option on the dropdown Screenshot 40 Set the conditions shown in the screenshot below and click Save at the bottom.

Pass a different value from the selected option on the dropdown Screenshot 51Here are the results:

Pass a different value from the selected option on the dropdown Screenshot 62 Can you try it again and see how it goes? If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more so I can help you better?

Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.

    Hi Wolfgang,

Thanks for getting back to us. I cloned and tested the form and it seems to be working properly. The value ITA is showing then Italien is selected on the Dropdown. Take a look at the screencast below:

Pass a different value from the selected option on the dropdown Screenshot 20

I also checked the Calculation Values of the Dropdown and everything is configured properly. Can you please test your form again?

Let us know if you have any other questions.
