Hi Mark,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, our German Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users at the moment. I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in German, let us know and we can have them do that. But, keep in mind that you'd have to wait until they're available again.
Now, let me help you with your question. The error that you are getting is because of technical limitations, wherein the allowed number of characters in the source code is 65K. To fix this, you will have to trim the confirmation email down to a lower number of characters in your email content.
What I can suggest as a workaround for this is that you edit the Email Content so you can add the recipient and save it successfully. You can enable the PDF attachment if you want the form fillers to receive a copy of all of their submission data.
Here's how to enable and add the PDF attachment:
1. In Form Builder, click on the Settings tab in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page.
2. Click on Emails on the left side.
3. Click on the Advanced tab.
4. Toggle the Attach PDF option to On.
5. Make sure to select the PDF document. If you want to check the PDF document, click on the icon.
I did check your form 233155334933354 and there seems to be no issue with saving the added Email Notification. Here's a screencast below:
I can't seem to encounter the issue, as the characters in the Email Notification email are less to thank 65,000. It would help us to understand what’s happening if you could take a screenshot and send it to us. We have a guide here explaining how to do that. Can you also please confirm the form link so we can check it for you?
Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.
