The existing court processes for filing protection orders were cumbersome and time-consuming, requiring individuals to complete lengthy paper packets that often caused confusion and delays.
Solution
CiviLaw.Tech implemented Jotform Enterprise to develop the Kansas Protection Order Portal (KSPOP), a secure online platform enabling individuals to file protection orders from any device. Using features like conditional logic, Smart PDF Forms, and translation tools, the system streamlined complex legal forms into guided, easy-to-understand processes.
Results
The Kansas Protection Order Portal transformed the protection order filing process, making it faster, more accessible, and more secure. Over 62% of petitions in Kansas are now submitted through the system, with 100% acceptance by the courts.
