What is Reiki?
Reiki (pronounced 'Ray-Key') is a Japanese healing technique that promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and enhances the body's natural ability to heal. The term 'Reiki' translates to 'universal life energy,' which flows through all living
beings. During a session, a Reiki practitioner channels this energy through gentle, hands-on or no-touch techniques to help balance your body's energy and promote overall well-being.
Reiki is not affiliated with any specific religion or belief system. It is a holistic approach to healing, addressing physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual imbalances.
How to Prepare for Your Reiki Session
To ensure a meaningful experience, here are some tips to prepare for your session.
- Wear Comfortable Clothing: Dress in loose, breathable clothing. You'll remain fully clothed during the session.
- Stay Hydrated: Drink water before your session to help your body's energy flow.
- Set an Intention: Think about what you'd like to focus on during your session, whether it's relaxation, clarity, or emotional release.
- Avoid Heavy Meals: Eating a light meal an hour or two before your session can help you feel more comfortable.
- Fill Out the Intake Form: All clients are required to complete and sign the Reiki Client Intake Form, available on our website, prior to their appointment. This ensures we can tailor your session to your needs.
- Arrive on Time: Arrive a few minutes early to settle in and create a calm state of mind.
