Hi I have a form "Transfer Gran Canaria" where users pay through stripe. I really do not know how does SSL work.
Before I had it embebed in a url with SSL (https). I dont know if that was enough.
Now i have changed platform where SSL is eventually not available but must it have it or does jotform provide it and it is enough? Do i have to set up something in jotform?
Thank you

Hi,
When you embed your form into your website it actually does not matter whether your website uses SSL or not. The form itself is framed with secure connection. This means, every single process within the borders of your form is protected with a secure connection.
Please see the source code of your webpage:
As you can see the form is embedded on a secure platform, so you and your users do not have to worry about the security.
Please contact us again if you need any further assistance.

SSL is a security protocol that helps to protect data transferring between web server and browser. Suppose you are selling goods online and accepting payments with creditcards though data entered by your customers should reach to the server safely. Here, SSL certificate encrypts the data entered on website using browser. Have a look at this article to know more about Digital certificates, there are more articles which will help you understand profoundly.

Thank you @owen but I tried to do it on a non SSL url but users received a page saying this Web is probably not secure. Your credit card data will probably be stolen... How could I avoid that then. -

Hello Elena,
You can embed the form in a non-secure webpage. However, please take note that only the form is secured and not the webpage. When the form is submitted, it will be transmitted securely to our servers. The only problem with this is that your webpage will not show a secure lock icon beside the URL.
I would suggest you use SSL on webpage as well In this way, the user will not get any warning messages.
Thank you.
