I am wondering if there is a one line text box connected to a question does that limit the number of characters that can be written. If it's an essay type question does it need an expanded text box?
(it's not connected to a web page yet)

Hello MOLDALLAS,
Please note that every textbox has a "Max Size" attribute where you can set how many character you want to allow your users to key in. Please check the screenshot below:
If the value is "0", that means user can input any number of characters in textbox. Please note that our database limit for a single answer is 64kb. That means it can store 65535 single-byte characters.
For essay type question, you should use "Textarea" fields which will display multiple rows to user. Please check the screenshot below:
Hope this helps.

Thank you!
