I need the day of the week in my email notifications for the date field, it's very important... before I begin to use JotForm extensively, I need to know how to put this in the date.
It is perfectly formatted in the back end submissions, i.e. Thursday, June 02, 2016. I really need this in the email, not just 06-02-2016.
How can I format it?

Hi there,
Unfortunately, there is no ready to use method to achieve what you are asking; but with a little workaround you can add this feature to your form.
To do that, you need one "Text box" field and use "Update/Calculate Field" condition. After setting your "DateTime" field to show current date, you can set the following condition for the "Text box" field just like the following. In addition, you can hide the "DateTime" field, if you just want to use customized "Text Box" field to show date.
Below, you can find the demo form which shows the Date as "Mon Jan 25 2016":
