kathleenaReplied on November 23, 2015 at 6:46 PMHi,
Here is an example in the one called Title V Strategy Options Survey:
https://form.jotform.com/53234521957154
I was trying to widen the dropdown box, which is set to zero width in the
theme template.
When I increased the pixels, it made it smaller rather than larger. I reset
it to zero but it would not go back to its original width.
I even tried deleting that question and putting in a new dropdown question,
but the new question came in the same narrow way.
Thanks

Hi,
Now, I was able to replicate your issue, but after making some tests I was also able to fix it, to do it follow these steps :
1. Go to Designer :
2. Paste this CSS code and save the changes :
[data-type="control_dropdown"] .form-input-wide{
max-width:none;
}
[data-type="control_dropdown"] .form-dropdown{
max-width: none;
}
Now the issue will be fixed, see my result on this link, you also can clone it if you want :

Let us know if it works.
Thanks.

kathleenaReplied on November 24, 2015 at 3:46 PMHi,
Thanks for that.
I had moved on from that issue by cloning an earlier version, but I wanted
you to know about these problems so that you could prevent them in the
future.
Here is another similar one, that I have not moved past.
Just a bit ago, I increased the width of my form and my matrix questions
within it. The matrix tables got wider, but the form did not. The form is
supposed to be 850 px and the matrix questions 750 px, but online, the
matrix questions look wider than the form.
Here is the link: https://form.jotform.com/53266835324155
This form is live and links to it are being sent out now, so I don't want
to mess it up in any way.
Thanks,
Kathleen

Hi,
That is due to the CSS style from the template you are using,sometimes there is conflict with the style you want to set because there is a property with the !important value, that is why you can not change the width of the fields.It is not with all the templates, but there are some with these properties like the one you are using.
I made some tests in my end with a sample form without any template, I was able to resize the width.
The only way to fix these issues is adding Custom CSS codes as the steps above.
Let us know if you have more questions, we will be glad to assist you.
Regards.
