Hi,
I would like to do the following. I offer five options for users to vote on, and I give to every user 10 votes. The user then has the option to put as many votes in the option that they like the most, for instance if a user likes option 2 then the user can put 5 votes, if the user also likes option 5 then the user can put 3 votes, up to this point the user has used 8 votes. The user then likes option 1 and the user puts the reminding 2 votes.
The user is not allowed to use more than 10 votes. Is this possible??
Thank you
Daniel

Hi, Arcsight,
Yes, that is absolutely possible with the use of our Condition Wizard and Number field from JotForm's Quick tool.
I believe this is what you would like to happen: (Please see images below.)
Users are not allowed to have more than 10 votes.
Users are not allowed to enter values less than 0 or more than 10.
The number of votes allowed is updated every time you place a vote.
Here is the condition used to create the example above:
And the Properties set for every Candidate field.
If you would like, please feel free to clone and check the Form I have created using this guide.
Should you have any question about the answer provided above, kindly let us know and we will be glad to assist you.
Thank you for using JotForm.
Kind regards,
Mike_G

Hi Mike,
I have been looking around and I am afraid that I will not be able to find some kind of feature that allows me to get statistics of what options users choose. Any help is appreciated.
Thank you
Daniel

I have moved the question about statistic into a separate thread, so we will be able to address it properly.

Hi,
I had followed the steps you showed me above and everything was working upuntil today. Now, every time a user goes above 10 votes the user is able to submit the form. Before that was not the case, before users couldn't submit the form if they used more votes than allowed(10). I am not sure why it is not working any more. Can you guys help me? My form is called "Daniel Poll"
I really need this to be fixed.
Thank you
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
It seems like this is a different issue that needs to be handled in a separate thread, the conditions are working but the form continues to submit even with required field errors when adding count down or similar widgets. Please refer to this link instead: http://www.jotform.com/answers/564118. We will address it shortly.
Thank you.
