Feature Request: Produce a list of resources / docs on a single page after a lengthy interview

Firstly, THANK YOU to EVERYONE at Jotform as well as the user community for all that you do!

Secondly, the use case I am presenting for which I am seeking a solution, I don't think I am the only one! I am pretty certain others have either had such need or will have such need, so this discussion should benefit many.

As a missing property investigator I need to collect forms and documents for submission to the Govt. entity where I file the claim on behalf of the client. The forms and documents vary based on a lot of criteria such as if the client is a US citizen or a foreign citizen, whether they are claiming their own missing property or claiming as an heir... you get the idea! I am pretty good with Jotform's amazing conditional logic / branching. So the questions part itself should not be difficult. But after the lengthy interview, where the required documents / forms / resources have been whittled down, I wish to be able to present / display such a list BASED on the conditional interview. I wish to do the form in the card format (vs. classic, many questions on a page). So, the question is, how do I produce a dynamic list at the end of the interview that lists the various documents, forms and resources? At a minimum, I see two sides here : On the one side I have ALL the questions that can be refined, shown or hidden based on conditional logic. On the other side I see ALL the objects (which could be a link to a pdf form hosted elsewhere or a request to upload a document, along with an upload button to collect the document). But the display of these objects would depend on prior questions. So essentially, I'd like to have the so called objects listed on a SINGLE page at the end of the interview / questions.

Is there a solution? (Well, I have faith in Jotform... I have never seen anything like Jotform. I am sure there's a solution. I just need some help finding it!).

    Thanks!

    Kenneth

    Hi Kenneth,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, the feature you're looking for isn't available at Jotform right now. We've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers, but when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.

Hello Mary! Thanks for getting back. Do you know if there's any workaround? Perhaps through a widget / plug-in or something? I did do some research but could not find anything. Any creative ideas?!

When included as a feature, I think this would be an extremely useful feature as I highly doubt I am the only one in this use-case scenario. I could easily imagine this applying to a whole lot of users 😀.

    Thanks much!

    Kenneth

    Hi Kenneth,

Thanks for getting back to us. You can do that by manually adding a condition to each of your questions, every single one of them. Can you please tell us a bit more in detail about the flow of your form? So we can see the better picture of what you're trying to achieve and by that we'll be able to help you better.

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you on this.

    Hello!

I think I have explained well in my OP. After the conditional interview, I'd like to produce a single page / card that lists the "objects". I'd like to call them objects because it could be an item that consists of a link or a name of a document being requested like this:

    1. A govt. / IRS form (< this could be a link to an external resource / pdf)
    2. Driver's License (this is simply a name of the document being requested preferably with a "upload" button next to it, so the user can upload the document)
    3. ... and so on...

I wish to be able to show / hide items in this list based on the interview. In other words this is a dynamic list of resources. Now I know this is easy to do with ref. to showing / hiding other questions as part of conditional logic. But my dilemma is how to produce this list at the end of the conditional interview on a single card / page.

I hope this clarifies. Please let me know if you need more clarity.

    Hello Kenneth,

Thanks for getting back to us and for explaining a bit more in details. Unfortunately, we don't have any workaround for what you're trying to achieve as there are no widgets or integrations that can support what you envisioned. My colleague already escalated this ticket as a feature request to our developers team and is already on queue. We'll surely let you know right away when they gave us an update regarding this feature request.

Thank you for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.

    Hi Kenneth,

Thanks for getting back to us. Unfortunately, we still don't have any updates. While I cannot provide any ETA on when will this feature be added, rest assured our Developers are always working to add new services and features to Jotform. When or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We appreciate it.

Just checking back to see if there is any movement on this. I am hard pressed to know that this is not a common scenario (producing a list of objects based on answers in multi-page questionnaire/interview). Imagine for a moment one is sitting in front of a lawyer/advocate. The lawyer would have a lengthy interview with the client and after getting the answers and based on those answers (many of which would be conditional on other questions he asked of the client), at the end of the interview the lawyer would come up with a list of documents, information he would need in order to proceed with the case < Similar use case scenarios abound in multiple professions. So I am surprised that my favorite Jotform doesn't yet have a way to handle such scenarios🙂. In fact, one would think this functionality would be at par with conditional branching logic built into Jotform.

    Hi Kenneth,

We don't have any update yet on the feature you're looking for that has been escalated. I know that it’s taking some time to have this implemented. We’ll get back to you as soon as we have an update.

Thanks for your patience, we appreciate it.
