Now have face a new problem though... Here is an example of what we receive when people fill out our jotform.
The New York issue seemed to correct itself or it was fixed? Now, we Geolocation does not matter it seems because this always shows up once the form is submitted. It used to work fine for us.
Also, the Geolocation does not have a Satellite view that we can switch to anymore. It only shows the roads.

I could not reproduced the issue when I check the jotform http://www.jotform.co/form/32595864649876 in your website
The Geolocaiton widget has the default view in Satellite view.
Please try refreshing and clearing your browser's cache also. Perhaps the cache remembering the old settings of the viewer, the reason the the terrain view is the one displayed by the map.
Please inform us if issue persist.
Thanks.

AaardvaarkReplied on February 3, 2015 at 6:15 PMOh yes what is going on? Now I look and I don't have satellite view option any more either.
Why is this widget being fiddled with to change everything that worked well before, without fixing the things that users are asking to be fixed?
These changes are making a mess of my website forms and my users are becoming very confused and angry. *Please* put this widget back as it used to be, improve what needs to be improved and get it working reliably and properly!!!
My users rely on satellite view because many of our locations are outside suburban areas, in the bush, and there are no streets and no other way of determining location.
There is another new issue -- the widget responding field has been reformatted like this (without telling us owners of forms):
Address: 28 Garran Crescent, Chifley ACT 2606, Australia
Latitude: -35.35889
Longitude: 148.04355It used to say:
28 Garran Crescent, Chifley ACT 2606, Australia
-35.35889, 148.04355and before that it said:
-35.35889, 148.04355The last two were easy for the user to extract the geocoords from, but the newest method means they have to copy and paste several times to get the lat and long separate from the words. This is another negative change.
When making changes Jotform has to remember that we have systems in place that work with the thing as it is. Any changes have to be backward compatible or ANNOUNCED to us so we can fix things and give comment. These are retrograde changes and should be reversed.
Can someone senior from Jotform take an overarching look at this widget and restore it to how it used to work please, with the hopeful addition of my separate request for the ability to access the widget field so form designers can clear them when appropriate, by conditional logic?

Jonathan,
Thank you for responding to us. I did clear the cache, but the problem still exists. Let me me try to explain it better if I can.
1. It helps us if customers can pinpoint a location when they fill out our JotForm, so we know exactly where they are referring to. Once they submit the JotForm, it gets emailed depending on the criteria they selected. The code I have within the email notification is correct because I have not changed it since it was working. The emails we receive look like this...
2. When you go to our site, it used to show the Google map as it is now, but it had the option of changing from the Road map to the Satellite map. Now it only shows the Road map and there is no option to change back from the Road map to a Satellite view. -

I can see what you mean. The email notification stopped creating the static map:
I believe this is connected with the format change you mention from:
28 Garran Crescent, Chifley ACT 2606, Australia
-35.35889, 148.04355to
Address: 28 Garran Crescent, Chifley ACT 2606, Australia
Latitude: -35.35889
Longitude: 148.04355http://maps.google.com/maps/api/staticmap?center={clickTo}&maptype=hybrid&zoom=19&size=400x400&sensor=true&markers=color.blue%7C{clickTo}
This prevents the creation of a static map on your email notification.
I will forward this situation to our developers so they can consider a solution for this problem.I moved the second question to a new thread:
