How long does it take normally to receive payment once you have a submission? Using Paypal.

Hi,
With my personal knowledge, I believe it should be instant as long as there's no problem with the account of the user sending payment using Paypal. But if you are referring to Incomplete payments, that should depend on the user, even though you click "Complete Submission" it does not necessarily means that you will get a payment, the user end will still be the one to complete payment. To view incomplete payments, you can check this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/135-how-to-view-incomplete-payments-in-submissions-page
Please also check this guide on Paypal Incomplete payments FAQs: https://www.jotform.com/help/272-paypal-incomplete-payments-faq
If you are not receiving payments, you might need to check your Payment Integration wizard if you have set it up correctly, like the correct Paypal email address on a appropriate payment method, example Paypal Express needs Business or Premiere Paypal account while Paypal Pro needs Paypal Pro account.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.

Hi thanks for responding! Upon further I reading I saw this :Note: Completing a submissions will NOT process any payment as there was no payment information to begin with. The system will simply treat this as a regular submission so it can be included on form reports, and that email alerts can be fired off as usual.
So does this mean that I still have to collect this payment from the users on my own? Im confused.

Hi,
What the system just did is that if you click complete the submission, it would just mark it as a completed in your list of submissions so that you can monitor it but it does not complete the payment because the payment should be authorize and be made by the user who filled out the form, the cause why there's an incomplete payment is that the user who filled out the form may have exited or cancelled the payment, so it would be advisable to contact the user directly when you see an incomplete payment to inform them. Or if you could also check your Payment Integration properties to see if there's an pending email alert option.
I hope this helps. I would also like to suggest that you read the Paypal Incomplete Payment FAQs above.
Kind regards.

I'm new to paypal... someone sent me money via paypal - how long before it is available to me if I have my acct linked to my bank? Also can that person withdraw their money (stiff me on their payment)? My acct says pending at the top and + $xxx.xx in the box. so is it officially on it's way and not able to be tampered with? If not, how could I tell?
HELP! LOL
