How to separate cells of product purchases through the product list field?

If I use a product list, all the responses are downloaded to a spreadsheet in one column per response.

Is there a way to split those into individual columns?

If not, is there a way to have an element/field that can be selected/deselected with a class ID number, title and cost associated for that class if selected?

I am ultimately trying to download all responses for a form with one line per response and a column per choice which will also add up the dollar amount for all the choices. From that download, I will be able to list all participants who selected each class via a pivot table in Excel.

    Hi semscaadvertising,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Because the Product List is considered as one field, its data is contained in one cell. We have a Summarize with a Chart feature that you can use to count the total number of different products that you've sold with the Product List field. It's easy to use. I'll show you how:

    • On your Jotform Tables page, click on the My Products column.
    • In the list that comes up, click on Summarize with a Chart.
    • You can change the chart type by clicking on Chart Type on the right side of the page.

You can also create a Report View on the Jotform Tables page. Let me show you how:

    • On your Jotform Tables page, click the + Add Tab and then select Reports.
    • Choose your form and click on Next.
    • Now, choose the Report Type you want to use.
    • In Report View, click on the Gear icon on the right side of the page to open Chart Settings. Here, you can change the Chart Type.

If you need to export the data, I'm afraid they would still show in one cell in the excel document. A workaround to this is to build your Product List using basic elements such as short text fields, numbers, multiple choice, etc. We also have a guide on How to Perform Form Calculation Using a Widget and How to Assign Calculation Value.

Reach out again if there’s anything else we can help you with.
