Hello,
The sales tax feature doesn't seem to be calculating very accurately. I have the sales tax feature set for 8.75% (or 0.0875 in the JotForm field. So, sales tax on a purchase price of $55.00 should be $4.81. But JotForm is calculating sales tax on a $55.00 purchase as .05 cents.
Please advise if I am entering the sales incorrectly.
Thank you.

Hello GalenWalker,
I did check the sales tax calculation and it seems to be calculating correctly. You need to input the "Base Rate" of tax in percentage "%" and it will calculate the tax as expected. Please check the screenshot below:
Please take a look at the following cloned form and see if it works as expected: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/41028310457951? Feel free to clone this form for a closer look. The following guide should help you in form cloning: https://www.jotform.com/help/42-How-to-Clone-an-Existing-Form-from-a-URL
Hope this helps.

Thank you!

GalenWalkerReplied on April 13, 2014 at 10:30 PMThat is the part that is so confusing. What does "Base Rate" mean? Early
in a tech support e-mail I was told to use this formula: 0.0875. So,
that is what I did. But it didn't calculate correctly.
So, what, exactly, and in what syntax, do you want me to enter in that
field to make it work correctly?

@GalenWalker
You have entered "0.0875" as the base rate, this is the decimal value of 8.75%. Note that base rate must be on the percentage value so you do not need to put its equivalent decimal value on the base rate field. Just enter 8.75 and that should fixed it.
Hope this clarifies a bit. Thanks!
