How to load salesforce datas to prefill a form?

    Dear Support,

I'm looking to have a form where the user is filling in the account name. When doing so, I would like user to see proposal from salesforce account name list like "autocomplete" in google search.

Alternatively, a form with a search button would be OK.

From there, the account detailed info from Salesforce would fill in the form for the user to either update the information or capture a new account.

Any way to do so with Jotform ?

    Best Regards

    Patrice

    Hi Patrice,

Unfortunately, our Salesforce integration works only one-way, and it's possible to send JotForm submission data to Salesforce, but not pull the data from SalesForce to JotForm.

If you have the account data in an Excel file, it is possible to use our Spreadsheet to Form Widget to pre-fill froms. This might not be exactly what you are looking for but is probably closest to the feature that you are looking for.

    Hi again Patricia,

I also forgot to mention our new prefill feature.
This week we just launched JotForm Prefill, which also has a feature for prefilling forms with data from Salesforce. You can pull data from Salesforce contacts and leads and prefill your form with the data. However, the feature does not have a search option, and you will need to create an individual link for each set of prefilled data.

You can find the product page here:

    Hi Laura_L,

    Thank you for your suggestions.

I explored the "Spreadsheet to Form Widget" per your suggestion. Here, I understand that excel file needs to be loaded in the widget each time there is an update of datas. What would be needed is that the widget is pointing to a "directory/file" and on loading the widget, the file is getting read so informations on the form are always up to date. Any way to do so ?

I also explored the prefill feature. I'm looking users to update accounts, contact and opportunities. Will accounts and opportunities be also available with PreFill ?

If I look at contacts, I do not see a way to prefill for example a table on the form with first-name & last-name. Please advise if there is any possibility.

    Thank you for your support

    Best Regards

    Patrice

    Hi Patricia,

Unfortunately using the "Spreadsheet to Form Widget" to prefill the form and keep the data all the time up to date is not possible. The widget requires an Excel file to be downloaded, so if any data changes, you would need to re-upload the Excel file to see the changes on the form.

Accounts and opportunities are not yet available in the Prefill feature, but as we have just launched it, we are looking to broaden the features based on our users' needs. If you want, I can open a feature request to add accounts and opportunities to the prefill options, however, we cannot guarantee that the feature will be implemented.

Also unfortunately the Input Table is not yet supported in the Prefill feature. Currently all basic fields, such as name, email, short and long text are supported.

    Hi Laura_L,

Yes, kindly open a feature request to add accounts and opportunities to the prefill options and also another one for Input Table in the Prefill feature.

    Best Regards
