I need help understanding how to simply create a flow where the information filled out on a jotform on my website populates an existing excel spreadsheet using power automate. Please help!

Just to further clarify, JotForm is also available on Power Automate so you can connect JotForm to any 3rd party apps through Power Automate like JotForm to Excel.
Here's an example:
Create a flow where JotForm is the trigger point.
Then connect your JotForm account and the Excel app you preferer. Example:
