I have a couple of forms that started from fillable pdf's. But we changed a bunch of fields, and so I have tried to unlink them from the original .pdf's. I can use pdf editor to make a "new" pdf that looks like I want it to, and they are beautiful on my screen. But when I try to download them, I get the data placed back into the old .pdf
Screenshot attached is of the nice .pdf that I' d like to download. When I click the button on the right, this is not what I get.
I understand from various threads that I may need to clone the form to truly detach it from its orignal .pdf, but in the meantime, I have submissions that i need to get out in some usable format.
I'd also like to know where to set a naming standard for downloaded pdf's. Some have client name filed in the file name, others don't. I'd like to know where I can set that.
Thanks,
Jessica

Checked your form and you're using the Fillable PDF.
It seems when you download the submission as PDF, the original format will be the one used and not the new PDF document you have created.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to detach the original PDF when downloading in the PDF editor.
You may try attaching the newly created PDF as an attachment in your notification email .
If you would like to use the created PDF document on another form, you may save it as a template.
I'd also like to know where to set a naming standard for downloaded pdf's. Some have client name filed in the file name, others don't. I'd like to know where I can set that.
You can only set PDF names when you create a PDF document.
In your Layout Settings>Customize>PDF file name
Hope this information helps.

Richie_P - Ok, is there any way to resend the notification e-mail trying it with attachment? It just makes no sense that i can see the pdf's I want on my screen but can't use them in any way (for the forms already submitted.)

@Carlos_C - I actually found a way to do it, one at a time. Not workable long-term, but at least I got the forms out that I needed. (From in box, clicked on each submission, then was able to download as the new .pdf I had created.)/
I'll need to re-do a bunch of forms/settings to fix it going forward.
thanks for looking into it.
