Timer Widget

Is there a timer widget that is able to help to restrict the length of time that a respondent take to complete certain portion of a form?

Basically don't want the respondents to take took longer to ponder and objective is to have their *first true response from their heart*, and not a "diplomatically" or "socio-politically" correct/appropriate response.

We do have a timer widget that you can use to move the form to the next page depending on time.

    Sample Form:https://form.jotform.com/200003046015937

    To set it up,

    1) add the timer widget

    2) Add a calculation widget

Get the value of your timer widget.

    3) Add a dropdown field and add an option YES

    4) Add a new page per question

5)Setup your Page break back button to hidden , the next button to visible and enable Auto next.

    6) Setup the condition if the number is equal to the time then fill the dropdown option.

Please give it a try and let us know if you have further questions.

    Hi Richie,

Thanks so much for your detailed answer. I have two further questions:

    (1) is the time in units of seconds or is it minutes? That is, in your Step 6:

Setup the condition if the number is equal to the time then fill the dropdown option.

the time specified in your Step 6, is in terms of seconds or minutes?

    (2) if don't want to move to next page, but just display a message that time is up, is it possible?

    Thanks a lot once again

    Time is in seconds.

You can add a custom "Time is up" message with a basic Text field and show it when Yes is passed to the Timeup dropdown field.

You would also need to update the condition my colleague created (Step 6) and change the StTATE from "Is Equal To" to "Greater Than".
