    Hi,

I would like to receive file uploads that exceed the current maximum size limit on JotForm. Do you have any best practices or recommendations for managing larger file uploads? Additionally, I’m considering a Dropbox integration to handle these files. Could you please explain the steps to set this up?

    Thank you for your help!

    Hi alecia1,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. You can take advantage of the File Uploader by Uploadcare widget. That upload widget can handle any file size up to 5TB. It also has other features like allowing you to edit or optimize the image before uploading.

The file size I've mentioned depends on the subscription plan you have with them, so this may require creating an account with Uploadcare, and having a paid plan. Their free plan, only offers a max upload size of 10 MB. You can find out more here.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

No I need more than 10 MB and I can't go for a paid plan. What about the dropbox integration?

    Hi alecia1,

Take note that in order to upload files to Dropbox using integration, you need to add a File Upload widget to receive the files of the users. Also, take note that the maximum size you can upload in the File Upload widget is 1 GB. You can increase the limit of your File Upload widget to be able to accept a file larger than 10 MB. Let me show you how to do it:

    1. In Form Builder, click on the Gear icon of your File Upload widget.
    2. Click on the Options tab.
    3. In Maximum, enter 1048576.

That's it. If it's still not what you want, can you tell us what the file size is you're going to upload to your form for us to see if we have a capable widget for it?

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.
