On my name field, I have prefix options which should not be required, but I'd like for the First and Last Name fields to be required. I found support articles that said this is an error, not how it's intended to work. I've included a screenshot.

Hi BTN2022,
Unfortunately, the Full Name element in Jotform does not allow individual control over the required status of the prefix, first name, and last name separately. When you set the required option, it applies to the entire field, including the prefix, first, and last names. As a workaround, we can separate the dropdown menu for the prefix. Here's how to do it:
- In Form Builder, click on the Build tab in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page.
- Click on the Basic tab on the left side of the page.
- Drag the Dropdown element on the form.
- Click on the Edit Options and fill out your preferred prefix that you want to display in the dropdown menu.
- Click on the gear icon to open the Download Properties window.
- In the Download Properties window, go to the Advanced tab.
- In the Advanced tab, enable the Shrink option.
Next, we need to disable the Prefix option in the Full Name element and shrink it. Here's how to do it:
- In Form Builder, click on the Build tab in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page.
- Click on the gear icon to open the Full Name Properties window.
- In the Full Name Properties window, go to the options tab and disable the Prefix option.
- Go to the Advanced tab and enable the Shrink option.
Here's the sample output:
