How to add a PDF file with an option in a multiple choice field

    Hello,

We have to have "broadband labels" for each of our plans. Could you show us how to tie a pdf to each of the plans we currently have on our form? And for the plans to show only when the conditioned set of prices are showing as well.

    Thank you!

    Hi ShopRainbow,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, it is not possible to attach a PDF file to an option in a Multiple Choice field, or any other field for that matter. A workaround you can try is to use the PDF Embedder widget. You can upload the PDF files you need to use for your form, and then conditionally shown them using Conditional Logic whenever a specific selection has been made to one of your form's plans. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, click on Add Element on the left.
    2. Go to the Widgets tab.
    3. Look for PDF Embedder and add it into your form.

    4. In the widget settings, click on Upload File and select the PDF you want to use.
    5. Once added, update the Field Label based on a selection from the multiple choice field.
    6. Click on Update Widget once done.

Next, we'll not create a condition to show the PDF file when, for example, 'Classic Wi-Fi 50Mbps x 5Mbps - $72.50/mo.' is selected from the multiple choice field. Let's start:

    1. In Form Builder, select Settings from the orange navigation bar.
    2. Go to Conditions and click on Add Condition.
    3. Select Show/Hide Field from the list.

    4. Start adding the condition as shown below:

    5. Click on Save once done.

    Check out this preview:

You may need to repeat the steps above to add more PDF files for the other options available in your form. You can try the steps on this cloned form so you can test it on your end. Feel free to clone it if needed.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any other help.

Thank you! All we need is for a pdf to show three pictures for each set of plans. It can appear right below the plans so it doesn't have to come up specifically for each one selected.

    Hi ShopRainbow,

If that's the case, you can then set the condition shown above to the field itself, and not the selection from the said field. That way, the PDF will show directly for the field. I made an updated condition I made earlier and added 2 more PDF Embedder widgets to test how you want it to show. Here's the condition:

    And here's a preview:

You can also try it out using the same cloned form I added on my first response.

Give it a try and reach out again if you have any other questions.

Is it possible to do add conditions to a image from the basic form elements? I am looking at adding an image of the broadband labels and condition it to show if one of the plans are selected.

    Hi ShopRainbow,

It is definitely possible to conditionally show an image if a selection is made to a field, like the multiple choice field. Basically, it will follow almost the same steps I previously shared, only this time, you'll conditionally set it for an image. Here's how:

    1. In Form Builder, click on Add Element on the left.
    2. Under the Basic tab, look for Image and add it into the form.
    3. Click on Choose File and then Upload File to add an image. How to add a PDF file with an option in a multiple choice field Image 1 Screenshot 40
    4. Once added, you can now set the condition to show it if a specific plan is selected. Below is a sample condition:

    5. Don't forget to click on Save once done.
