Hi karnik_karnik754,
You can create a custom PDF in our PDF editor. Let me show you how to do it:
1. Go to Jotform PDF editor page, and click on Try PDF Editor.
2. Choose the template you want, and click Use Template.
3. You can add a PDF element on the left side of the page, and you can also modify your PDF by clicking on the Paint Roller icon on the right side of the page.
That's it. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Can i upload a custom design of the certificate as a PDF

Hi karnik_karnik754,
You can upload your own PDF file so it can be converted as an online fillable form, through Smart PDF Forms. But, note that not all the features or details from the uploaded form might be carried over to Smart PDF (i.e., images, background design, logos), as its main purpose is to convert fillable fields from a PDF file to create an online version of it. Let me show you how:
- In your account's My Forms page, click on Create Form on the left
- Select Import Form, and then Import PDF Form.
- Automatically, a blank Smart PDF Form will be created for you.
- Next, click on Upload Document and select the PDF file you want to use.
- Once done, an online fillable version of the file will be created, and will be connected to the original PDF.
Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.

Hi karnik_karnik754,
If you have an existing PDF document file, you should use the Smart PDF Form to upload your PDF and map the fields of your web form to it. You'd have to create a new form though.
If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more so I can help you better?
Keep us updated and let us know if you need any more help.

Hi karnik_karnik754,
Unfortunately, it is not possible to use a pre-existing certificate. You need to create a PDF Document as your certificate, which is used as a template for generating PDF files. Otherwise, you can use one of our Certificate templates. Or as a workaround, you can use the PDF as a background image, and remove all the words added from it using a third-party app such as Online PDF Editor. Here's an example one:
Once, you remove it, you can use it as a Background Image again and use the Basic Element and Form Fields on the PDF editor to customize your Certificate. Check out the screenshot below for example:
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Hi karnik_karnik754,
Using Jotform's PDF Editor, you can design your own personalized PDF certificate. You can also check out our Certificate Templates here to find a design that fits your needs and make edits to it. Once in the PDF editor, you can usethe basic elements to further customize your document. Let me show you how:
1. In Form Builder, click on the Downward Arrow icon next to the Jotform Logo and select PDF Editor.
2. In the PDF Editor, remove all elements and fields by clicking on them and then clicking the Trash can icon to create a blank document.
3. Next, use the Basic Elements on the left to personalize your PDF certificate.
4. Once you've finished customizing your PDF, you can populate the certificate with values entered in the form. To do this, go to the Form Fields and choose the field you want to include in the PDF.
That's it! Let us know if you have any other questions.

Hi karnik_karnik754,
Yes, customizing your PDF is possible with PDF Editor including changing the background color and etc. Here's how to change the background color:
- In PDF Editor, click on the Roller Paint Brush Icon in the right side of the page.
- In the right panel, you may select the Background Color or you also have the option to add a Background Image.
That's it. We also have a guide on How to Customize Your PDF Submission Report that you can check.
As for your other question, I've moved that to a new thread. You can check that out here.
Give it a try and let us know if you have any other questions.
