How to remove the highlight on autoresponder emails on dropdown elements?

I am not sure why Jotform has this silly format for some files to be displayed with a colored background with padding. From the perspective of an email appearance it looks absolutely unprofessional and rather poorly planned.

How can I stop this from happening and allow the text from the DropDown box be displayed as text only.

Please don't say that it is not possible, as this would not be a solution to what is a horrible CSS styling that makes no sense.

    Hello Steve,

Thank you for reaching out to Jotform Support. I understand that you'd like to remove the highlighted portion for the dropdown element, however, this is highlighted by default on the Autoresponder Email. It is also not possible to customize it with CSS.

A workaround for this is to copy the value of your Dropdown element to a short text field in your form builder, so it won't appear as highlighted in your email:

By doing so, you also need to change the form fields that were assigned to your autoresponder emails and remove the dropdown element and replace it with the short text element:

Give it a try and reach out again if you have any other questions.
