Salesforce Dynamic Prefill is not working on the Company Name field.

    Hello!

I am attempting to set up the new Salesforce dynamic prefill option on my Jotform; however, I am running into a consistent issue. The form I'm working on is a quote request form that our customers fill out each time they want a new quote. The goal is for them to simply input their email address, and the new prefill option would automatically add the rest of their information.

The issue I'm running into involves the "Company Name" field. I'm pulling the information from the "Contact" section of Salesforce, therefore the "Company Name" is a picklist field. However, when I do the prefill, it simply shows a string of numbers instead of the actual company name. Below is a screenshot to illustrate the issue.

I hope there is an easy fix!

    Hi George,

Remember that the field's data type in Salesforce should match the field type in Jotform. Since you are using a Picklist data type, can you try changing the Company Name field to a Dropdown element, and list the same option that you listed in the Picklist on your Salesforce?

If you continue to experience the same problem, can you send us a screenshot of the Pick-list options you have from your Salesforce? This guide will show you how to do that.

Once we hear back from you, we can move forward with a solution.

That solution won't work unfortunately because we don't want our customers seeing the names of other companies we work for. Is there another solution that I can use?

    Hi George,

If your clients are the ones who already have the contact records in Salesforce, you can export the data into Excel, and then use the Spreadsheet to Form widget to prefill the fields that need to be prefilled. You can check out this guide on this.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hi George,

You can prefill Company Name field by adding another prefill source. Let me show you how with a clone of your form.

First edit your prefill source "Prefill Source 1" and remove the Company Name field from the mapping area. The final mapping should be like this:

Then add another prefill source by clicking the "Add Prefill Source" button. In the setting part, select "Account" object as the Lookup Object. Then configure the lookup filters as below:

And finally, in your mapping area, map "Account Name" field to "Company Name". The final configuration should look like this:

Save your settings, and give it a try.

Please let us know if you face any issues.

    Thanks
