How to separate first and last name in Full name field when downloaded as Excel?

Good morning,

When I export the Full Name element to csv or Excel, the first and last names are combined. Subsequent sorting results in a sort order based on first name and not last name.

Is there a way to prevent this, so the sorting in Excel can be by last name?

If not, am I correct in saying that I need to set up a first name field and a last name field?

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, the Full name field works as one field. The names collected will be combined. However, if you are going to export the submissions in Excel, you can check this guide on how to separate the first and last name.

If the guide above does not work for you, I'm afraid, you will have to use 2 different fields to collect the first and last names.

That worked nicely. I will consider using two separate fields in the future. I need to be able to export the lists, and it is very important to sort by last name.
