Change Email Recipient Conditions

Hello! I have a two-part form where the first part is completed by admin and when admin clicks submit it is then sent to the client to fill out their section and sign. I have set up two autoresponder emails for this:

    1. When admin submits it sends to client to sign
    2. When client submits they get a copy of the form.

Do I have the correct conditions and email settings so that autoresponder 2 email is only sent when the client signs and submits the form?

    Hi Carl,

Yes, the conditions are correctly set up. However, I noticed that the Date of this Agreement field had the default date set to current, which has already been filled. I recommend changing the default date to none, or else the second condition will be triggered because it has already been met. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, select your element's gear icon to open its properties.
    2. Go to Options tab and select None as a Default Date.

First, we'll need the Get Form Page URL widget, which will be used in the condition.

    1. In Form Builder, click the Add Form Element button.
    2. Go to the Widgets tab, then search for the Get Form Page URL.
    3. Click the widget to add. You can also drag and drop it anywhere to your form.
    4. Right click the widget and select Hide from the menu.

Next, we'll create an Enable/Require/Mask Field condition so that if the client clicks the edit link, that specific field will be set to required.

    1. In Form Builder, go to Settings at the top.
    2. Select Conditions on the left.
    3. Add a new Enable/Require/Mask Field condition.

The conditional logic will look like the one on the screenshot below:

That's it! Let us know if you have any other questions.

    thanks Marehlene!

I do want the second condition to be triggered when the Date of this agreement is filled as that is the first part of the form, so that's fine.

If I'm adding the Get Form Page URL what condition do I still use the same condition as your screenshot? Because the 'Date of this Agreement' field is in the first part that will be filled by our admin. Do I set it to the fields that the client need to fill out?

    Hi Carl,

In the steps described to set the condition by my colleague Marelhene, the field selected to be required was set as an example. Depending on your needs, you might want to select another field to be set as required. This can be achieved by selecting the field when clicking on the Select fields in the dropdown menu, at the Field section, as shown below.

If you want to set multiple fields to be set as required, you can also click on dropdown menu at the Do section, and then select multiple fields as shown below, as an example:

I hope this help you to make the condition that fit your needs. Reach out again if you have any other questions.
